Cenevo is launching the Labguru Assistant, an AI-enabled extension to the Labguru solution designed to provide scientists with real-time, in-platform support for their daily lab work. Cenevo specializes in lab management systems, automation, orchestration, data management and AI technology for life sciences.
Cenevo’s recent research shows that 45% of labs plan to implement AI within two years, with three-quarters saying AI/machine learning will play a big role in driving change by 2026. Building on these insights, Cenevo has been and is further investing in AI-enabled lab solutions that provide predictive insights, improve sample tracking and scheduling, reduce human error, accelerate complex data interpretation and decision-making, and assist in the design of experiments and generating hypotheses. The first of these solutions to launch is Labguru Assistant, which is now available to research organizations globally.
Scientists utilize Labguru to plan, document, track, streamline, automate and share their scientific research, encompassing the full life cycle from research to production. With the addition of Labguru Assistant, organizations can now enhance these processes with real-time AI support, giving scientists faster insights and greater confidence in their results.
Unlike generic chatbots, Labguru Assistant is purpose-built for the complexity of life science. Integrated directly into the Labguru platform, it allows scientists to use simple natural language to troubleshoot experiments, optimize protocols, compare results across studies, and analyze complex data. It can search a lab's entire workspace, including records from ELN entries, inventory and protocols, while also connecting to trusted external databases for deeper scientific insights. All results are fully auditable and traceable, ensuring scientific rigor and compliance.
"We created Labguru Assistant with one mission: to bring practical, reliable AI into the hands of scientists," said Jonathan Gross, Chief Product Officer at Cenevo. "It's not a separate system or tool; it's always on, always in context, and always accountable. This is our first step in integrating more AI functions into our solutions to help scientists become ever more productive. By embedding AI directly into our platform, we're enabling connected labs, removing barriers and helping scientists make faster, more confident decisions."
"The feedback from our beta program was invaluable," added Gal Haase, VP Product at Labguru. "We saw firsthand how the Labguru Assistant is already helping teams with everything from designing protocols to summarizing complex datasets. It’s exciting to see how it's not just a feature, but a genuine partner in the scientific process."
The launch follows extensive feedback from beta users who helped refine the Labguru Assistant. Early adopters have already leveraged it to design new protocols, summarize vast datasets, and streamline the onboarding of new team members, reporting measurable improvements in efficiency, reproducibility and collaboration.
Labguru software provides a cloud-based, multimodal laboratory data management research-to-production platform, combining ELN, LIMS, registry and inventory management. As a result, research teams can activate Labguru Assistant immediately without new logins, integrations, or software
