CMR Surgical (CMR), a global leader in surgical robotics, has announced the appointment of Sushobhan Dasgupta as President and Chief Commercial Officer for Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. With over 30 years of experience in the global healthcare sector, including an extensive tenure at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Dasgupta brings a wealth of expertise to CMR Surgical.
Having most recently served as Vice Chairman and Global President at Shalby Limited, Dasgupta has demonstrated his leadership in driving growth and strategic oversight in the healthcare industry. His distinguished career at J&J, where he held various leadership roles, further solidifies his position as a respected figure within the sector.
Supratim Bose, CEO of CMR Surgical, expressed confidence in Dasgupta's appointment, highlighting the rapid growth of surgical robotics in the targeted regions. The appointment of Dasgupta follows CMR Surgical's impressive achievements in 2023, including over 50% growth in its global install base and the successful completion of over 19,000 surgical cases with Versius.
