Asia’s largest bioindustry-focused gathering, BIO Asia–Taiwan 2023, will be held July 26th to 30th, 2023, in Taipei, Taiwan. Co-organized by BIO (US-based global Biotechnology Innovation Organization) and Taiwan BIO (Taiwan Bio Industry Organization), executives, researchers and investors from North America, Europe, and Asia will come together to explore opportunities within Asia's thriving biotech sector. Expect a full schedule of events including an international conference, exhibition, seminars and workshops, company presentations, one-on-one partnering, and our annual industry award ceremony. And for increased international engagement, most onsite events will be accessible online and/or on-demand for a limited time.

This year’s theme, Embracing Asian Dynamics, highlights Asian’s fast-moving economies, dynamic biomedical ecosystems, and globally-connected production and value chains. In 2023 we expect the event focus areas will include precision medicine, advanced therapies, digital health, investment and collaboration, and regional partnerships.

The five-day Exhibition will consist of 14 special zones showcasing companies and offerings from the full spectrum of life sciences. These zones include Precision Medicine, CDMO, Smart Medicine, Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine, Biosimilars, and others. An International Zone will feature country pavilions from such biomedical powerhouses as the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, Italy, and Japan. Multinational companies including some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies will also be strongly represented.   

The three-day Conference will feature at least 100 expert speakers from Asia and around the world. The 15 main conference sessions will focus on three major topic areas: Innovation, covering precision health, AI and digital health, and others; Market & Supply, including biosimilars, vaccines, contract development & manufacturing, APIs and generics, among others; and Investment, covering early-stage financing, cross border investment, capital markets, and more.

Our Company Presentation program will feature a full schedule of 15-minute onsite presentations from an exciting range of startups and established firms, with presentations also available online on-demand during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2023 and in post-event promotions on social media during the entire year.  

BIO Asia–Taiwan 2023 will again feature the renowned BIO One-on-One Partnering™ platform, an easy-to-use online meeting scheduling system to search for and identify potential partners, collaborators, investors and in- and out-licensing opportunities. Face-to-face meetings will be held over private and secure video links 24 hours a day during the event period. With over 4,500 meeting requests made via the system during BIO Asia–Taiwan 2022, we expect to exceed that number during the 2023 event.
